Ferries
connect Siros at least once daily with Piraeus (2 1/2 hrs. by high-speed
ferry, 4 1/2 hrs. by ferry), Naxos (1 1/2 hrs. by high-speed ferry or hydrofoil,
2 1/2 hrs. by ferry), Mykonos (30 mins. by high-speed ferry, 1 1/2 hrs.
by ferry), Paros (45 mins. by high-speed ferry, 1 1/2 hrs. by ferry), Tinos
(1 hr.), and Santorini (4 to 7 hrs.); and once or twice weekly with Folegandros
(5 to 6 hrs.), Sifnos (3 hrs.), Iraklion (5 to 10 hrs.), Samos (7 to 9
hrs. to Vathi), and Thessaloniki (12 to 15 hrs.). There are also daily
catamarans from Rafina (2 hrs.).
