July and August, ferries connect several times a day with Ios (1 to 2 hrs.),
Naxos (3 hrs.), Paros (2 1/2 hrs. by hydrofoil, 4 hrs. by car ferry), and
Mykonos (4 to 6 hrs.); almost daily with Anafi (2 hrs.) and Siros (3 hrs.

Sikinos (1 hr.) and Folegandros (1 1/2 hrs.); and twice weekly with Sifnos

Almost all ferries now dock
at Athinios, where buses meet each boat, returning directly to the Fira

for numerous other island destinations. Taxis are also available from Athinios,
at nearly five times the bus fare.
